Depending on what kind of photos you want, head shots or full figure, or both, you need to prepare for them for the best result possible.
We can make magic with makeup, hair, clothes, props, light and digital enhancements, but the basics are up to you.

Please read carefully below what you need to do and when to get a good result.

Hair removal

  • Be sure to take care of all hair removal prior to a shoot, but leave at least 2-3 days between when you wax/shave and your shoot date. This time is necessary to allow for any irritation to disappear before your shoot.
  • Take care of your nails. Be sure that your nails are neat and well maintained. Short nails are preferred. A natural, non-colored, or French manicure look is preferable. If you plan on posing barefoot, be sure your feet and toes are in good condition.
  • If you plan on showing your smile, be sure that your teeth look good. Make sure they are clean and not stained.

Your skin & hair

For makeup to look good your skin needs to be clean from all makeup and smooth.
  • Use a good day-and night creme to give your skin a smooth surface. Otherwise your skin will absorb foundation and concealers differently and the end result will look strange. If you have problems with your skin, such as acne or very dry areas that need special treatment, contact Christa about this in before hand for a solution to this.
  • Your hair should be free from any products such as hairspray, mousse or any other styling product. Wash it the same morning for the photo session.

If you have any questions regarding this, please contact us.

48 hours before your photo session

  • Please call us to confirm your appointment.

Use this opportunity to ask any last minute questions you may have.

24 hours before your photo session

  • Eat healthy. Drink plenty of water. Avoid fatty, greasy, and salty foods prior to shooting. Please avoid alcohol or anything that will make you puffy or bloated. Also avoid anything that may stain your teeth.

If you have not yet called us to confirm your appointment, please do so.

  • It is also important that you get a good night's sleep. You will not only feel better, but you will look better if you are well rested and energetic on the day of your shoot. Dark circles and bags under one's eyes is not attractive.
