Clothes & Props

In the 1930's and 1940's the evening gowns worn by the movie stars in their photos was a big part of the end result. These dresses are difficult to find today, and even more of a challenge to buy in all sizes that are needed. So we improvise.

What we try to achieve is sophistication and simplicity, and depending on what kind of photos you want, together we will take a look at the appropriate clothes for this.

The props will also depend on what kind of photos you want and will be agreed before you arrive to your photo session.
We prefer to meet with you about a week in advance to discuss these things. That way we can have everything set and ready for your appointment before you show up.

Poses & Ideas

Most of us are not use to move in front of a camera and we don't ask of you to act like a professional model. But if you have ideas about what kind of poses you would like to use, this is always helpful. This will be discussed when we meet up to talk about clothes and props.
We value your input and if you have questions don't hesitate to ask.

You can also pick up ideas for posing at Movie Scans. That web site has got an extensive collection of old photos of movie stars from Hollywood's golden era where you can pick up some inspiration. If you find a style on that website that you would like to use for your own photos, take notes and we can look at it together when we discuss this.
